Michael David Lust Zinfandel, California

A well structured Zinfandel while still displaying a ton of the ripe berry and spice characters we all expect from a Zinfandel. Without hesitation this lot was put into new 3 year air dried French oak barrels purchased especially for this program. After being aged 22 months we blended with a little bit of Petite Sirah to increase the already great depth, color, and tannin structure. Ready to drink now, but with the hefty amount of tannin this wine could easily be set down for a few years.

Unrestrained craving:
This Zinfandel has a soft texture and decadent mouthfeel, and the flavors are of creme de cassis, caramel cream, melted milk chocolate, tangerine zest, and cinnamon-spiced gingerbread.
