This 2007 Alexander Valley Chardonnay is classic California, with tropical notes of pineapple and guava, backed by toasty vanilla, French oak characteristics- the flavors rolling over your palate in smooth, buttery layers, with a finish that lasts seemingly forever. James Laube gave this wine 93, well-deserved points in the (can't say yet) issue of Wine Spectator and it has been known to be called "a sommelier's dream" because of its wonderful balance of acidity, fruit, and body.
