Pascual Toso Reserve Malbec 2007, Argentina
90 pts ~ Wine Spectator
"Polished and ripe, with enticing raspberry and boysenberry fruit flavors laid over a creamy-textured palate and backed by alluring mocha and fruitcake notes on the finish. Very tasty."
Winery Notes;
Made from hand-grown and hand-harvested grapes using boxes in our vineyards located in Las Barrancas, Maipú, Mendoza. It is aged in French oak Barrels for twelve months; after bottling, left to rest for an additional period of six months before it is available to consumers. Reddish color with violet tints and intense notes of blueberries and plums, which are reinforced by vanilla and a touch of white chocolate contributed by French oak. A very well-structured wine full of sweet tannins with good concentration and long persistence. It is ideal to pair it with red meat, pasta dishes and fine or fermented cheese, such as blue cheese.
