The wine is not for the faint of heart. It is monolithic and extremely layered with a massive attack and a wave that passes through the mid palate and on to a long dark finish of chocolate, black fruit and spices. This wine is loaded with blackberry and plum, hints of pipe tobacco and intense black cherry and coffee. The big brother to Layer Cake this wine is basically like stuffing a giant German Black Forest Cake into a bottle and protecting it with a tenacious little dog. Hide this wine from your friends as there is very little and when it is gone...it's gone.
