Bertani Catullo Rosso 2006, Italy
"...a pretty, stylish red with an attractive core of red fruits, herbs and spices. Listed among "Italy's Finest Wine Values." -Robert Parker Jr.
Wine maker notes
Harvest takes place in early October. The two grapevarieties are vinified separately with frequent remontages and a lengthy maceration. The Cabernet is fermented in special vats with a fan to improve the skin contact in the must. The Cabernet is refined in medium toast French oak barriques for 12 months, while the Corvina is placed, for the same length of time, in Slavonian oak barrels.
