Flying Fish Merlot 2009, Washington

Pure expression of ripe red and black cherry
fruit, distinct chocolate and caramel notes with a
hint of pomegranate. A rich, balanced style with
a smooth tannic structure.

This versatile wine can be paired with everything
from a cured meat and cheese picnic, to grilled
sausage or beef tenderloin. Pairs equally well
with roast pork or medium-spiced Asian dishes.

The wine is sourced in Yakima Valley, Wahluke
Slope and Horse Heaven Hills. The Yakima
vineyards bring up-front fruit, ripe cherry notes,
and suppleness to the palate. Wahluke Slope
contributes ripe fruit characters and spice, while
intensity of flavor is the hallmark of Horse
